traditional bamboo Tenkara rod

mikeytwoshoes and I made a trip to the Bamboo Ranch where I picked up a small bundle of tips and a few culms, enough it seems to sus out a bamboo Tenkara rod. The tip sections I could fold back on themselves without breaking and it appears that I might be able to make the sections fit into the ends...

Time will tell.

A couple of the culms need to cure, they are on their way to drying but are not quite the straw color.

No no made the trip with us, he is a good traveling companion. I bought him some bugs to eat on the way back.

that place was pretty cool even though it was a mosquito infested jungle.
like stepping into another state. or country even.
