I told M the story of John Channer, how I meet him in Colorado, he called me "Shay's Grasshopper" and although at the time I thought it was fucked up, I now think it is honorable.

So we raised one to toast him tonight. My wife and I on a date. She had a look into my friends, from my point-of-view.



John made a good fly rod, I cast many of his and I wish to G~d I had one. They were reasonably priced and now???

He is up there with the rest of the old dead guys far as I'm concerned.

Holy crap...I'm gonna miss that crusty old bastard.
I wish I could make the funeral.
It figures though, that when John met his end, it was just after helping someone.
